Marsha, Any time there is any blood, it should be a signal for a quick trip to the Vets. The Bleeding as you described it fits with what one of my cats showed when she had a bad bladder infection. If she were a house cat, you would probably find her making excessive trips to the litter box with no or little urine passing. I recommend taking her to a Vet, and putting out cat food and walking away to where you can't watch the hissy fits. When they get hungry enough, they will eat it. I had 7 inside cat's at the same time, so know well of what I speak.
Hope she's OK. Kay --- In [email protected], "marsha" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Thanks for the reply. The cat I am talking about has been bleeding a little. It isn't heavy bleeding...in fact it is so slight that it is leaving more of a pink stain where she sits. She has been spayed, so it isn't anything like that. She hasn't been acting sick, but has been fussing a lot. She is an outside cat, but will scratch on the door wanting food (canned dog food only!) If she doesn't get it, she throws a hissy fit. She use to do this a couple or three times a day, but now is doing it constantly. At first we thought she was just wanting in out of the cold, but that doesn't seem to be it either. Like I said, she is not acting sick, but more like hateful. I do not know a lot about cats.....don't even know what their expected life span is, but I do know when they aint acting right and I do know they shouldn't be bleeding. > Marsha > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Stevie CB > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, December 23, 2005 12:14 PM > Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] cats and dog food > > > Marsha, > It was my cat Princess who died of liver failure. I knew that it could lead to blindness and I knew there were other health problems that could happen, but do not know a whole lot about it. Someone mentioned something about either kidney or liver failure or something like that. I was wondering if the person who made that post could re-post the health hazards or give me some where to start some research. Trying to find out if a current health problem one of my cats is experiencing could be related to the fact that she eats only dog food, or if it is unrelated. As I said, I always knew it was bad, but am not completely educated on what it can do. Nor am I able to get my cats to eat anything else. > Marsha > > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam? Yahoo!
