Heather, Try a small flat saucer, you may have to let her get a little extra hungry, and you may have to hold it the first few times, but slowly work it onto the floor. Then later find one with slightly higher sides, and work up to a dog bowl. I used the plastic frozen dinner containers when Allay was tiny as she was so tiny she had trouble getting over the edge of a dog food bowl.
