I bet if you put a bowl of her dog food down and a bowl of cut up chicken necks down she will let you know which she wants.  It does not take a lot of work and it really is easy.  Some books say give 2% of their body weight a day.  That can be cut into 2 meals, morning and night.  You can also try hamberger too.  It is quite simple and once you see the results, you would wonder why you never tried this.

About 5 months ago I was interviewed for the Chihuahua Magazine based on my feeding practices. At that time I would cook a stew because the thought of watching these dogs eat raw made me sick.  I started researching raw just becuase I was so curious and found even my homemade stew was cooking out the vitamins and minerals.  So I went ahead with just chicken necks you can get from the butcher and man! within a week, shiney coats, white sparkly teeth, poop real small and little to no oder.  I like it and will not be changing.  Dogs have thrived on cheap junk dog food for many years, but if you think back to our grandparents era, they feed table scraps and had happy healthy dogs who never had cancer or other ailments.

I feed RAW but I did not tell you to try that
I've done some reading on feeding RAW.  I would need to do more reading, but it does look like an awesome diet and maybe, one of the best.  I'm not sure, because I have NOT done enough reading, but I worry to really do that diet well you need to really be on top of how to do it.  I think you can buy the diet pretty complete, frozen, can't you?  My Sophie is a picky eater and I wonder if she might really like that diet.......
