Joy,name is Sheila,I live in Live Oak,Fl,I have a 8 yr. old Chihuahua name Chili Pepper,when she was five years old she started having sizures,the first one scared me half to death,the vet put her on Phenabarbital,and later she had to start taking potassion bromide along with it,she gets 2 pills a day and the liquid once a day every morning,she hasn't had a sizure now in almost a year,the vet did not run any test,I could not afford them,she put her on that and she checks her levels once a year.Chili has had up to 8 in one night,but when they have them,you have to stay calm,pick them up and hold them,talk to them,and when it passes,put them down,they need to pace,then give them a couple of teaspoon of sugar water to help them,its not easy,but Chili lives a normal life,I watch her close,but she is doing great.I have 8 other chics also.
