I don't know about the breathing thing, but........Me and my boyfriend's Bear is the same way. He is so attention hungry!! He acts like we constantly have to be petting him or have him in out laps. We also have a Boston Terrier and they are the best of friends but heaven forbid we pay the Boston attention because Bear is right there saying "Hey, hey what about me?" Just gotta love our pooches. My boyfriend has had Bear since he was about 6 or 8 weeks old.
