Hi my name is Ashleigh and I am new mom to Marco (a half long/half short haired chi) We've had him for about 3 weeks. He's just about a lb now.. brown and black.. adorable. He's my first Chihuahua.. actually first small breed I've ever owned. We already bring him with us just about everywhere.. he's a little scared in the car but loves being out with us. I couldn't find a dog tote that I liked so I made him one with some corduroy fabric ... he loves it. As soon as I made it he ran and jumped in... and tried to bark when i took him out of it. ::about potty training:: Marco will only go in his larger crate if I put his smaller crate, water/food, and his litter box in it. If he uses just his smaller crate that only fits him and his bed then he whines until I get him out to use his box. He is only 2 months old and varies on the time he will stay in either area. I am having issues with him now going potty in one box.. he won't poo where he has already marked with pee. Is it unusual to have to use two boxes? He was doing fine but has changed his mind now. If there are any tips on crate training/box training I'd love to have them! I'd really like to get past this potty training stage quickly.
Thanks!
