I use a fingernail clippers on my cats and Bambi. For the bigger dogs I use a scissors type nail clipper..I do not care for the guillotine model. I also trim my goat,llama and horses feet so I have different tools for them! We give our own shots which saves us lot's of money when you have lot's of pets and livestock. Of course we use a vet to spay and neuter. The more often you clip the nails the more she will get used to it. Just take a little off the tip at a time untill you are comforable with the procedure. The more often you clip them the more the vein line will recede.
