Dogs lick the face to ask for food, it's a wolf behavior this stimulate old
wolves to regurgitate food after they hunt so they can eat. We have breed dogs
to be wolf pups for life.

Hello Furdion,
I know it is an old subject, "the sweet puppy kisses",but. .. is that
what you mean by licking?
Mimosa is a rescued half Chi half cuddly dog :P, and I thought she was
just sweet when I carry her, she looks for my neck to lick. Should I
be worried? Is not compulsive, just as she wags the tail, looks to
lick my face. I always tought that was a WELCOME to the pack ritual.

Cheers!

Julia
