My oversized Chihuahua was neutered last Friday. He had not dropped on the one side so surgery was intense for him. Poor little thing had a dime sized bruise and was in pain. I called the vets office and they told me it was OK to give hime pain med's 2 times a day for 2-3 days then decrease to one time a day. I never had a dog who had not dropped before. I never realized surgery was harder for some. I learned a lot by this. He is 5 pounds and just short of 5 months old. Anybody else have this before. It broke my heart.
