My Chihuahua little girl used to scream bloody murder when we picked her up as if we were hurting her. She stopped doing it and will now damand that I pick her up. You have to pick them up a certain way. Like scoop them up with hand only, no points of fingers, by the chest area while holding the butt area for support. She now loves to be picked up but we had to show her that we wouldn't hurt her. Now she is trusting but it took a few weeks.

The older she has gotten the more vocal about it she has gotten.
