Boy some of the rescues and shelters are so expensive Here in Colorado the
shelters I know of range from around $50 to $400 to $500 in boulder and a
couple of other places. I know they need money to run the shelter but you
would think it would be better to adopt out at a smaller price and get the
dog a home that charge so much and have to destroy some. We have a chi
rescue here that seems kind of expensive (to me) as well. Plus they insist
on a home visit and I just dont like strangers at my house (my little
phobia) LOLOL

Wow!!!!! I wish I could come across someone like that.....my daughter
still wants a chi, but even the rescue agencies online want $200.00-$300.00
for adoption fees....plus having to travel to pick them up. This is why I
bought my Penny locally.....had to pay the same amount as a rescue, but at
least I didn't have to travel. She doesn't have the money, since she is
unable to work since a shoulder injury last Nov, she goes in for surgery
this Fri. But I keep looking at the animal shelter listings, because they r
usually less expensive......who knows, maybe I'll find her one.
