I would just like to clarify.... My 4lb Bridgette was given this shot a 5-6 moths ago, she was 3 years old..... I always give her benedryl before we go to the vet for shots because she does have reactions to her shots. . The vet did warn me that this shot has the highest rate of reaction and to watch her (after they gave her this shot) also to give her more benedryl a few hours after we left... they did keep us there for an extra 40 minutes or so because they know how temperamental her little body is, What I am trying to figure out is this: Are toy dogs not supposed to have this shot at all or are the vets supposed to wait until the pup is a certain size or age?
