Oh Gloria,
 I don't know about 3, but 2 is much easier than 1 - hehehehehe!!!
Seriously, we started with one puppy, then added her sister, and it was much
easier once we added the second puppy. Then they play together, instead of
having one puppy wanting all of your time - but when you want to play with
them, then you have two puppies wanting to play with you or lay on you. So,
double the joy! Also, they're too busy playing together to get into
trouble. Training is easy - they follow each other. We did clicker
training for sit, lay down, come, stay, sit stay, lay down stay, roll over
etc... they picked it up really fast. As far as potty training, we started
in the playpen with a litter box when we were not home - they taught
themselves pretty much. When we were home, we watched for signs they needed
to go, and put them into the litter box whenever it looked iffy. Then they
graduated to a doggy door with an xpen around it when we were at work, and
room restrictions with the doggy door when we were home. Now in the summer
they have the run of the house when we're home, then in the winter the room
restrictions (kitchen and family room) when we are home - because Bessie
gets so cold she won't go out unless she thinks we're watching when we are
home. Piece of cake :o).

How in the world do you keep up with 3 babies, 12 wks and younger?
Tell me a little bit about your day with them and how you approach training
- pottie, leash, etc.
