In your opinion and from your own experience, can you comment on
gender in regard to:
1) toilet-training ... who is easier to train ... male/female?
Usually a male dog will lift his leg to urinate. Is this common
with small male dogs like chihuahuas?
I heard that neutered males will squat like females. Is this true?
My male chi does squat like the females. I have been told leg lifting is
learned? I had a Pom that leg lifted in a house of females ? Both of mine were
neutered .
2) temperament ... who is more docile and easy going, more
affectionate ... male/female? Both ...it truly depends on the dog.
3) barking ... who is a more consistent barker ... male/female? Both again. I
have a dominant male barker and a dominant female.
4) getting along with other pets such as cats ... who is likely to
adapt easier ... male/female? Out of 7 , I have one male and one female that
hate cats.
