I decided to buy a corral (fencing for which I made a floor, plywood, covered with tile) to keep Cesar in while I am at work, it has worked out great. He has room to play and run around in, a place for his water and food bowls and his litter box. When I get home, I let him have run of the den and slowly he appears to be losing interest in the lamp cords and other dangerous things. I do have to keep an eye on him but today, when I gave him his treat, he calmly got down on the rugs and chewed on it for a long time, without acting like a mad man! Gloria
