Kathy if she is still a puppy and you need to crate her if it's not for
to long you shouldn't feel bad. They learn that their crates
are "their" safe places, somewhere where they can go even after you no
longer need to crate them, for some quite time. When they go to their
crates on their own, they should feel comfortable enough to know that
they will be left alone and no one will bother them "safe." If you have
to be at work for to long and feel bad about the crate then I suggest a
pen. Pet Smart sells several sizes and that is what I did with my Chi
when he was a pup. Enough room for a bed & blanket, water & food and to
set up a area for a pee pad far enough away from the rest of it(I use a
boot tray with newspaper. He had lots of room to move around and still
I knew he would be safe and not damaging anything or hurting hmself
while I was gone. AND he now only ever goes on the paper when I have to
change his routien and he can't hold it (not in a pen now - has the
roam of the house). Good luck!

whatever she can get to. I have tryed the bitter apple stuff but she
likes it LOL. Thats a good idea with ignoring her when she jumps i
will have to try that. I took her in so that my original dog cameron
would have a playmate while we worked. They play all the time so i
dont know why she would be bored. I hate keeping her in the crate but
i dont seem to have a choice at the moment. Does anyone else leave
there dogs in crates while they are at work? I feel crule for doing it
