This recipe sounds good enough for me to eat. I love chicken livers. I am
gonna try it out for my babies. I know they will love it and remind them of
home :) -- em

MariI don't know it is EM on this list that feeds the broccoli and I am unsure.
I am sure she will be online soon and tell us! The sweet potatoes either way
!I make up special food to supplement mine and I use microwaved sweet potatoes
in it and they adore it. My little recipe
is...........................................2 large sweet
potatoes-nuked....LOl !1 large can Veg-All mixed veggies1 small can pumpkin6
chicken thighs boiled..........save the broth1 container chicken livers browned
in the skillet2 cups uncooked oats2 tablespoons Wheat Germ2 eggs beaten Ok
boil the chicken..........take off of the bones.Cut into bite size piecesAdd
the chicken liversAdd canned veggies, pumpkin, oats, wheat germ and the eggs.Add
enough of the broth to make it a nice consistency. I can promise they will beg
for this stuff and you will know what went into it

Boy I hate Science Diet.I am sorry but since I found out that they pay the vets
to push it ...that did it for me.I feed mine Diamond Naturals. Another good one
is Innova. For treats I give my little very active guys........ carrots.I know
Em who is buying two of mine says she gives hers broccoli.I also know that mine
love sweet potato.Hope I helped abit and ignore my comment on Science Diet...it
is your business what you feed.Mare -------Original Message----- -- From:

Question of weight
Hi there...I read, but haven't really posted - still learning! :) My
chi is
2 years old - his name is Skeeter. I've weaned him to Science
Diet "lite" to drop some weight on him, but also see several "air
treat"
postings that caught my eye. My question is this - if the
veggies go undigested and unchanged, is that good? What treats CAN
you give a chi that won't put the weight on or hurt their health?
I'll have
to upload some pics too.

Sue
