You need to be giving your Chihuahua (or any breed) a more balanced diet. Hot dogs are processed food for humans and should not be given as a steady meal on a daily basis. Hot dogs lack all the vitamins and minerals that are found in dry food. If your little guy is really picky (as my beemer is also) try at first to mix the hot dogs with some dry dog food such as the brand nutro ultra. I'm sure peewee will pick out the hot dogs and leave the kibble but you should keep on him. Maybe even drying to moisten the kibble. I just want to make sure that your little guy gets all the nutrition so that he will live and full and healthy life with you! Good Luck, Amy

When I first got my chi Buddy, for a long time the only thing he would eat was hot dogs. He loved them, and I was OK with it cuz a pack of 8 hot dogs only cost about $.51 that's 8 days! some times I would mix in some minute rice, I lost (died) my little Buddy. Then I got my current little dog PeeWee. For the first like 18 months he to would only eat hot dogs, but I didn't care as long as he ate. I've had alot of people tell me that my dog is FAT well I just could'nt see it. I tried every can and dry dog food on the market he just would not have anything to do with it, he would just look at me, with that look of "Where is my hot dog" Well I don't care if my dog is fat, just more to love right? I have seen the Mighty Dog food seemed like a rip-off such a little can. I go online looking for cupons and found some for Mighty Dog so I got some for PeeWee, he likes it he likes it. Well that little can of food only last 2 days, vs 8 days for a pack of hot dogs. Well win some lose some but PeeWee has been a "Mighty Dog" for about 2 months, and my little boy gets what he wants. Would you have to consider a dog to be a canabile if it eats hot-dogs? Once in a vey great while I try to give my PeeWee some chicken. He doesn't like it, not at all. But maybe if I was the dog I would't like it also. I mean chicken would seem to be for cats...
