She just said it's because he's too young to be eating dry dog food. So I mix the dry dog food with a bit of Esbilac and put in warm water to "sauce" it up a bit when it's time to eat. I set it out for a few minutes to make sure it's soft. He doesn't have a complete set of teeth yet. Really tiny ones that's scattered, not lined up together. Is it really suppose to be that way? This is my first dog!

I'm no expert, but I don't know about feeding a 5 month old dog softened kibble with esbilac. Did your vet say why to feed your chi this way? He's plenty old enough to eat crunchy kibble... it's good for his teeth.
