Hmm, I don't think his teeth are lined up nicely. I've just had him
for close to a month and it looked like he might be missing his baby
teeth and now his adult teeth are growing but not at the same time?
So it doesn't look like they're lined up...yet. I will try to take a
picture of it. I only get glimpses of his teeth when he yawns. Haha!

Yes, he is 5 months old. He was born April 2007. I want to try
letting him eat dry dog food if you all think he can do it. I feed
him Royal Canin Chihuahua Formula. That's what the vet told me to
get since it's the only dogfood especially formulated for chihuhuas
that's available here where I come from (Philippines). I let him
taste the Breath Buster only because it crumbles like a cookie so I
was fairly confident that in case he can't chew something dry, it
will eventually melt in his mouth. I don't feel the same way with
dog food since it looks so hard and takes a while to soften when I
put warm water in it.

Tonight, I tried feeding him 3 tiny pieces just to see. It kept
slipping through his teeth and falling through the floor. He doesn't
seem to be able to bite through it. Haha! Neither do I hear any
crunching sound that he's chewing on it. But eventually, he ate them
all. Maybe I will try it tomorrow or do it gradual -- putting less
and less water in it. Especially since the last few days, I've
noticed that he hasn't been eating his food with much gusto as
before. I read somewhere that it's because food mixed with water
doesn't smell as good as dry food.

How often do you feed your puppies at 5 months? Mine eats 3 small
meals a day -- about 3 tablespoons per serving. The vet said they
only eat half a cup a day. Which means I need to divide that by 3 to
split across 3 meals. How about you guys?

Also, the doctor recommended Esbilac only because she thought he
might go on a hunger strike since he was adjusting to a new home and
feared that he wouldn't get enough nutrients. But so far, so good.
He adjusted with me quite quickly. Just 2 - 3 nights of crying
himself to sleep. :o( But he was eating consistently though. Which
is why when I finish this can of Esbilac, I guess I don't need any.
Or is milk necessary for them till they are a year old?
