Personally, I prefer dog wipes, which are made for this purpose and ph balanced
for a dog, but for the most part, a dogs skin is no more sensitive than an
infant.....if it will not irritate an infant, it likely wont a chi. BUT either
way, it is still less irritating than bathing that regularly. The only oils in
a chis skin is mostly from the hair itself. Every bath strips away those needed
oils. For some breeds, it isn't a big deal, but a chi usually has naturally dry
skin anyhow, so to take away those oils can make the skin too dry. Wipes take
the surface dirt off, but leave behind the needed oils.

I am sure there probably are doggy perfumes on the market, but I wouldn't want
to use them. No sense chancing an irritant just because we like the scent, lol.

But aren't baby wipes alcohol based which makes their skin every drier?

Maxx likes it when he smells fresh from a bath -- the smell of shampoo seems
so much better than cologne! I like the soapy smell -- are their colognes like
that?

I also change his clothes daily and bec they've been washed with fabric
softener, he smells really good.
