Do you use toothpastes for dogs?
Maxx doesn't seem to have enough teeth to brush yet. I don't think
any of his teeth are fully grown yet. There are more gums than teeth
still. I can't manage to take a picture of it. I should try and
wait for him to yawn!
Yes, he loves his Breath Busters, too. I give him probably half a
cookie the entire day split into several pieces. He has gotten
pretty good at nibbling and biting them now. Feeding him dry food as
others suggested in this list has really helped and it's just been
about a week since I started him on that. It used to be that he'd
play with it until it was moist enough to just melt in his mouth.
He loves them so much that he's learned to sit before I hand it out
to him and he'd do a happy dance around it first before nibbling it.
If he doesn't want to eat it though (say I've given him more than
what he wants), he'll hide it under his blanket in the bed and eat it
the next day.
He also enjoys this organic chew bone that I got him. I think it was
made of vegetable or maybe not, but it was green. The reason I got
it was not so much that it was organic but it seemed to be the only
thing available that was small enough that he could lift and move
around. He was able to nibble off its tip already.
