I am thinking it might be wise to purchase a baby gate and block her
off in a room such as a bathroom while you are gone. Maybe try it
while at the market first and see how she behaves on her pad. (I know
how hard it is in an apartment and landlords can be pretty harsh on pet
owners)
I also think taking her outside every couple of hrs is fine. You are
doing great .....but walking her is the best exercise cause they need
it. Mine is now over 3 yo and he has a routine everyday; I am lucky to
be home with him and now he never has an accident; but I walk him three
times a day and he has access to the yard.
Good luck
