My one chi was indoor pee pad trained and I got her out door trained by walking her around 4 to 5 times a day. She just can't hold it in for just two walks. I don't think that is enough. Anyway, she is now out door trained and she asks me (in her doggy way) to take her out when she needs to go. She is so wonderful. Evelyn

Owner for 1 yr Age: 1.5 yr very smart doggie Here is my dilemma: I used to work long hours so I taught my puppy to pee on the pee pee pad in the house. Now I live in a small apt. I am home all day long as I am a student now. I want to train her to pee only outside on the grass. For the past week since we moved into the apt I have been taking her for a 15 min walk in the morning and in the early evening b4 bed and she has done well with her peeing/ pooping outside. However when we get into the apt I put her up on the couch in her bed and pretty much keep her there while I study. Truth is I don't know if I can trust her to be on the carpet and not pee. She isn't a big drinker although her water and kible bowl stay out all day long. But she is used to peeing in the house since b4. I noticed when I laid a pee pee pad in the kitchen for her she hasn't touched it. I guess I need to know if 2 walks a day are sufficient for her to get her bathroom stuff out because once I go back to work (soon) she will have free reign of the apt. I am scared very scared.
