Subject: [Chihuahuas] Chi puppy potty training

I have a 5 lb female chi puppy who just moved into my new apt with me.

Owner for 1 yr
Age: 1.5 yr
very smart doggie

Here is my dilemma:
I used to work long hours so I taught my puppy to pee on the pee pee pad in the
house. Now I live in a small apt. I am home all day long as I am a student
now. I want to train her to pee only outside on the grass. For the past week
since we moved into the apt I have been taking her for a 15 min walk in the
morning and in the early evening b4 bed and she has done well with her peeing/
pooping outside. However when we get into the apt I put her up on the couch in
her bed and pretty much keep her there while I study. Truth is I don't know if
I can trust her to be on the carpet and not pee. She isn't a big drinker
although her water and kible bowl stay out all day long. But she is used to
peeing in the house since b4. I noticed when I laid a pee pee pad in the
kitchen for her she hasn't touched it. I guess I need to know if 2 walks a day
are sufficient for her to get her bathroom stuff out because once I go back to
work (soon) she will have free
reign of the apt. I am scared very scared. Help!!!
