One of the biggest Chihuahua groups on yahoo is a breeding group....it is chocked full of show people. Some of the best in the business. IT is also full of those who breed but do not show. I am happy to say that everyone of them operate as one big family. The show breeders stand right along side of the none show people. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with showing or anything. If it is something you enjoy, more power to you....but some of us just are not interested in showing. If you gave me a pup from the best in show and it was exact to conformations and top show quality, I still would not be interested in showing it. Show dogs are, imo, working dogs. I have a working dog (an SD) and that is enough for me in that area.

The breeder that I got Bogie from never shows her dogs. She just loves them. I believe there are many many more like her. I don't agree with the showing improving the best traits in dogs. Well to each their own, but I know that many breeders are in agreement when I say that showing is a way of ensuring the best traits in dogs are being continually improved in order to mate the best animals to produce future generations of quality dogs. --- In [email protected], "marsha" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I breed and have done so for 10 years.....but have never had the slightest interest in showing. > Marsha > > Do not tell God how big your storm is.
