I also worry that Maxx being an only (dog) doesn't teach him much
about socialization or playing with others. We do play together but
how much can I play with him? It can get tiring sometimes (not
physically tired but the same game over and over). I was just
chatting with the breeder from whom I got Maxx and he said that I
should consider getting another chi for Maxx to play with. It'll be
easier for him to learn to be friends with one than when he is a bit
older. He's 6 months now and I've had him for just 2 months.

I'm not sure about getting a second dog yet. I feel like it's too
soon since Maxx is my first. I can't imagine going through the
papertraining again and all that. Especially since I feel that I was
just really lucky that Maxx is a neat freak! Haha! But I do wish
that he has another dog to play with. I have a friend who has
puppies but they are so much bigger and rowdier than Maxx (though
they're just 2 months) that they bite his legs and ears and he just
gives out a yelp and spends his time running AWAY from them!

When I'm trying to keep him up and he's too sleepy to play, even by
himself, I lay him on my lap. True, he dozes off but I think the
fact that he's not in his bed yet -- it doesn't count as him calling
it a day. Hehe.
