I have a Dad who is 85 and when he comes he is always saying things like you need to get rid of the worthless dogs...what he does not realize is these dogs are my family and they never lose their loyalty,never tell secrets and are there to the very end. He's such a good boy.I really like volunteering for the humane society because it just makes me feel so good when I can help a homeless or abused animal...or get a lost one back to it's owner...my animals are treated like kids...our kids are grown and we hardly ever see them. My cat that passed away in April was VERY special to me...like I said. .I cry everyday over her...I'll never forget her.I used to take her to the studio and have her pictures taken with Santa...the Easter Bunny and at other times...I have had animals my entire life and have NEVER been as bonded to any animal like I was her...I would never leave her over night.. she was so special..and when she had surgery I had to go in and hand feed her...she was such a sweetheart...she was very bonded to me...me and Sox are pretty much bonded like that...he's a mommas boy...he's two and a half years old now...I hope he lives a happy.. healthy life into his twenties!~~~ Yep...I would never get rid of my animals either...when they come here .. they never leave...but that's not a bad thing! Same here Sharon, I prefer my animals to most humans. I have 8 dogs in the house and wouldn't have it any other way!
