That's how I feel...if you don't like it leave...my house is basically for the
comfort of the animals...people do think I'm a little "nutty" at times..but I
don't care...as long as my animals are happy...I'm happy! But I DO like it when
they come in and say something like..."WOW...you have 5 cats in here? I don't
smell anything"....lol...well...could that possibly be that I'm in the litter
box more than they are...scooping and washing it? LOL...I think the best way
for animals NOT to get sick is to keep them healthy to begin with...so..I clean
a lot...It does get a little tiring every time I go to leave the house I have
to take a lint brush and get the hair off my dark colored clothes...if I'm at
home..I don't care...I do sweep my floors...carpet and tile a lot...also sweep
off the cat tree and cat house...I try to keep the hair down so no one develops
a breathing problem.
I'm so sorry to hear about your rescue dog. Sometimes I can't stand people. I
volunteer for a local humane society and we see so much cruelty towards
animals...mostly cats here...that it makes me sick...and cry!We've rescued
several cats over the years that have been shot with arrows...some were beat
till their heads were split open..kids were caught trying to drown kittens in a
ditch...one of the cats I rescued recently had an embedded collar in here
neck...poor baby is missing some of the fur around her neck. We've had dogs
that have been shot...kicked..thrown...animals thrown from cars...rescued bait
dogs...I will NEVER be able to understand how one living thing ( a human) could
inflict so much pain and torture on another living thing...be it another human
or a poor animal~~~Thank God for all the decent people like us who actually
care and make a difference~~~Sharon

The people I really like are just like me. If anyone comes into my house and
is bothered by the dogs, it's made clear that the dogs live here and they
don't. They can leave at any time. Am I crazy? Maybe. But I much prefer my
animals and those few that I have found that are the same.

Someone shot one of my rescue dogs 11 months ago and I offered a $1000.00
reward and unfortunately still have not found him. You wouldn't believe the
outpouring of people that came out of the woodwork that were on my side. I was
overwhelmed by it. There are more of us out there than you think so why settle
for less?

  Pam

Don't you just love it when people come into YOUR house and complain about
your animals??? Or they'll give you a disgusted look and say...How many
animals do you have??? I'd like to tell them ...well...never mind...lol...but
my animals bring me a lot of joy...don't get me wrong...I like people
too...lol...but I've been messed over so many times by people...but never
animals...and my little male Chihuahua Sox is the most loyal little dog I have
ever owned! He's such a good boy.I really like volunteering for the humane
society because it just makes me feel so good when I can help a homeless or
abused animal...or get a lost one back to it's owner...my animals are treated
like kids...our kids are grown and we hardly ever see them. My cat that passed
away in April was VERY special to me...like I said...I cry everyday over
her...I'll never forget her.I used to take her to the studio and have her
pictures taken with Santa...the Easter Bunny and at other times...I have had
animals my entire life and have NEVER been as bonded to any animal like I was
her...I would never leave her over night...she was so special..and when she had
surgery I had to go in and hand feed her...she was such a sweetheart...she was
very bonded to me...me and Sox are pretty much bonded like that...he's a mommas
boy...he's two and a half years old now...I hope he lives a happy.. healthy
life into his twenties!~~~
Yep...I would never get rid of my animals either...when they come here
...they never leave...but that's not a bad thing! I'm also known as "The Crazy
Cat Lady"...lol lol...that's ok by me...All my cats are rescues...and I take
care of strays...I LOVE cats...Cats...Chihuahuas and Cooking...Three of my main
passions!~~~Sharon

Same here Sharon, I prefer my animals to most humans. I have 8 dogs in
the house and wouldn't have it any other way!

That's why I love this group so much! There are so many
wonderful, caring people in here...I don't have many friends...I get very
nervous around people..so I don't like to go places...but when I have time I
like to come on here and see what's going on with everyone~~ I have 3
Chihuahuas...and 5 cats living in the house...plus one that used to be a stray
(cat)living on my enclosed front porch...I love them and I'm so glad I have
them....Take Care~~~Sharon
