my little henry had floppy ears until 9-10 months?wnhen both would stand
straight for a spell?or take turns flopping until he was at least a year +. Its
funny I worried about it not for looks but for function and asked this same
question (about 1,000x here- oops!).

Some kind person here said massage worked. (gently with thumb and index up
towards tip). I massaged them lots but I think they just stand up if and when
they are ready. Like kids talking or walking.

sometimes when he first gets up they are floppy (adorably rakish)?or when he
does not feel so well. But do not worry it may go on for a long time.

Some say to tape them but my trainer said she thought it uncomfortable so
please do not do that.

The massaging is fun for them and though my henry has perfect ears he still
relishes a good ear massage.

best,
michelle and henry

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Question

My long haired chihuahua is 16 weeks. Her ears finslly came up but now the
right one has tipped over. Should I be concerned. Her ears are VERY fluffy! My
other chi that is 25 weeks has long hair and her ears came up very quickly and
stayed up but are not nearly as hairy.
