l/c's do sometimes take longer because the weight of the hair adds weight to
the ears, but basically, the time frame you are talking about here is not
unusual for any chi. Ears will stand at their own rate. Some chis are early
bloomers with ears standing early and others are late bloomers and can take as
long as a year to stand. Since yours has stood and is now down, sounds like it
is in the teething phase. Their ears will often fall while teething. But this
is one of my favorite parts of a chi pup...watching the ears stand and fall on
an almost daily basis, lol. If they have ever stood, they will stand
again.....just enjoy the yo yo effect for now...it is fun and doesn't last long
:-)

  Subject: [Chihuahuas] Question

My long haired chihuahua is 16 weeks. Her ears finslly came up but now the
right one has tipped over. Should I be concerned. Her ears are VERY fluffy! My
other chi that is 25 weeks has long hair and her ears came up very quickly and
stayed up but are not nearly as hairy.
