[Chihuahuas] Mites

Does anyone know the best treatment or medication for mites on a puppy...about 
3 months old. A friend just called and said she had her puppy to the vet for 
shots...and found out that it has mites...mainly on the head and 
face...Thanks~~~Sharon....She got medicine from the vet...but I wanted to get 
others opinions on this.
