If you don't plan to breed her and don't plan to show her, then the
paperwork is simply a formality.  I'd hang on to it just in case, but unless
you just want to register her, there's no real need.  It has absolutely
nothing to do with who she is to you, and if you are her forever Mom, then
who cares about papers?

As for spaying, someone with more knowledge than me will hopefully answer
that question.  I've known people to have their females spayed after a
healthy and successful breeding time, when they are 4-5 years old, but I
don't know if that is ideal.
