If you are not going to show or breed, then there is no reason that you need to 
register Princess unless you just want to.  There is no cut off age for 
spaying, but I would do it while younger to reduce the chance of mammary cancer.

Thanks everyone. Everybodys babies are so cute. Princess is almost 3 years old 
and I've had since she was 6 months. I grew up with a chi but since I was a kid 
I didn't have to worry about the techncal and medical stuff so this is my first 
time being the sole provider for a chi. I have a couple of questions I'm hoping 
someone can answer for me. First of all, is there an age cut off to getting her 
spayed? I considered breeding but since I have never done it before and I don't 
want anything to happed to Princess I decided against it. Also, if she is not 
going into competition is it good to register her anyways? I have had the 
papers since I got her and just never did anything with it. Is it necessary?
