My friend in AK ships her pups. I guess living in AK so far from the rest of us it would be nearly impossible to NOT do so. However, personally, for myself, I do NOT ship. I just couldn't put one of my pups on a plane alone, even if they were flying in passenger I couldn't do it. I also will not buy a pup that must be shipped to me. But that is just a personal preference for me. I do not condemn those who choose to ship. In fact, the friend in AK offered me a great deal on one of hers that I really really wanted, but I just could not bring myself to ship. I have been offered double asking price for a couple of my pups in the past if I would ship them and I refused. At the same time, I have a lot of friends in the chi community who do ship and they are all great people who do put a lot of thought into it and do care about the pups but feel perfectly safe in shipping. So personally, to me it is just a personal decisions that each breeder has to make on their own and if they decided to ship, in my eyes, it does NOT make them a bad breeder....they just have a different opinion that I do....and that is ok :-)

Temperature is very important to know, plus how long the flight is, about what about any delays or cancellations? It to great a risk IN MY OPINION. My 3 came from Idaho, and I personally went to the breeder and picked them up. It was a all day event, but I felt more assured, that they would be safe, and secure. It can be very frightening for a puppy, plus who have know idea who will be handling, and moving any dog create. --- On Sun, 7/20/08, marsha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: marsha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: {Disarmed} [Chihuahuas] Shipping to alaska > To: [email protected] > Date: Sunday, July 20, 2008, 11:19 PM > Christy, we have a mutual friend on CPP...I'm sure you know who I am > referring to...she is in AK and I am sure she would be happy to answer > any AK related shipping questions for you........ > Marsha > > Do not tell God how big your storm is.
