This is a pic of my male pup, Gizmo at 19 weeks (he's 20 weeks now). He has just started to grow his adult coat which is coming in thick and shiny. From what I've heard, too, they don't get their full coats until around 2 years or so. Also, the thickness of long coat vary from Chi to Chi. Gizmo will have a very nice, thick coat like his father. Some just show the coat around their necks, chest and feathering around their ears, legs and rear-ends. I think males generally have fuller coats than females, too. Good luck getting your female LC Chi! Keep us updated and share pics if you can! I REALLY REALLY want a long coat little girl to spoil rotten, since I have all males in my household... LOL. (hubby, two human sons, two Chihuahua sons, and a male ferret) Anyways... during the conversation she stated that a long coat Chihuahua will not show their "full" coat until at least 2 yrs of age. Is this true?? Thanks and have a wonderful weekend. Venus
