depends on how bad it is torn already. If it is barley hanging on, by all
means, go ahead and remove it, but if it still has enough flesh attached,
I would try to keep it on because it can be very painful. I would put some
anti biotic on it for a day or two and keep it wrapped. If it doesn't look
like it is healing well, I would see a vet and have it removed. You may
want to take his temp daily to make sure he doesn't set up an infection.
