Cesar loves carrots.  I cut the mini ones length wise and give it to  him one 
piece at a time and he begs for more.

Yes, carrots are not a very exciting food for most  dogs.  The best way to 
grab their attention to teach them  a trick or command, you need to train them 
on an empty tummy with a  treat that they are very, very interested in.  I 
mostly use boiled  chicken breast.  Or sometimes freeze-dried liver.  Both are  
easy to break into little tiny (pea sized) pieces.  I also use  the clicker 
training method with the treats.  They tend to learn  very fast that way and 
are 
very motivated.

I bought my Tia some baby carrots yesterday.. Well I guess  I can always use 
them for cooking.. Lol.. She got real excited  and then left them laying on

Cheerios and other cereals (try storing some in a plastic  bowl or bag with 
hot dog bits, smelly cheese, etc.)
Cooked chicken or ground beef
Pounce cat treats
Alpo Beef Burgers
Cheese Cubes
Hard-boiled eggs
Snausages
Cheese Whiz
Popcorn
French fries
Bread crust
Croutons
Canned cat food (use a spoon)
Cooked pasta (many forms)
