a "apple head chihuahua, is what you see if you watch any dog show. It's the shape of the head per the breed standard. They typically have a round head,shorter nose, bigger/bulgier eye. The "deer head" more aligned with what the "taco bell" dog looks like. They have a longer nose, narrow head (not round) the appearance of larger ears.
