Also, the "apple-headed" Chis have a more pronounced stop as well as a shorter nose than the "deer-headed" type. The AKC Chihuahua standard calls for the "apple-headed" type but the "deer-headed" ones are just as much Chihuahua as the "standard" ones are as far as personality! They are both cute in their own ways. I, personally, prefer the "apple-headed" look in a Chi with the shorter nose,big bulgy eyes and shorter, more "cobby" bodies. Then again, some of the "deer-types" are adorable with their huge ears and delicate features! So cute! Stefanie
