Hi, Gloria!  I wish I were closer so I could help you in any
way!  My Dad was a motor cop for 39 years, he is 91!  God
bless you all!  Believe me, when I say I have thought of nothing
but you and your family all day!

Hey Elizabeth - so you know.  Right now all of our heads are in a cloud.

Jim, my hubby rides motors, and he has to escort the body from the morgue

to the funeral home in a few hours - (didn't know this) there is always someone
with

the body 24 hours until Paul is laid to rest.  Jim has his shift from 10pm to
6am tonight.

It's tough to have a family member there - I can't imagine what is going thru
Jim's mind.

We have prayed together several times, and I need to talk about it.

Now this morning - Gabby's school called and said she is a inter district
transfer and needs to

go to her home school!  Well...she hasn't gone to her "home" school at all.

this is devistating - she is just making sense of her Uncle passing, and two
dogs - now this!

I totally feel badly for her.  I am praying if she can stay at the
Valhalla school she has always been.

Please continue to pray for strength to get thru these issues at hand!

Love and Hugs,

Gloria C

Oh my God, Gloria, I don't even know what to say to
you!  I read that entire story yesterday because of the
officer.  You see, I was already praying for you and the rest of
his family.  I come from a police family!  All of my
relatives are cops!  I know what it is like to send them off at
the start of their shifts.  Please know that all of you, including
the other officers in the department are in my thoughts and
prayers!

So true Mare!  Life is ...sometimes we don't understand why people or pets have
gone suddenly.
My cousin who is a Martinez Police Officer was killed today during a domestic
dispute.  We have
been crying all day - My husband who works with him is being kept at the PD,
and the surrounding
towns/cities have taken over the streets...
It's a blessing for all of the different police agencies from all over have
brought food, their condolences,
flowers, etc...they are suppose to do a debreifing/counseli ng for all the
officers who actually had contact with
the creep.

Thought I would share..it's still hurts.  At least he is in a better place!

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has
nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying
out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to
heaven.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same
distance with their feet.

And
when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the
unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face
and think: you're alive and still around.
