Gloria, I also am in a police family. My Father is Chief of Police. I know what it feels like. I wish I could be there with you. When I first read this I did not know where you were writing from. The same thing happened in our town at this same time. An officer went to a domestic violence call and was shot. There are expected to be 6,000 at the services. I cannot even imagine all the things that that little Gabby is going thru (for a child her age). What in the heck is wrong with that school to transfer her now. AND AT THAT AGE. Jim, my hubby rides motors, and he has to escort the body from the morgue to the funeral home in a few hours - (didn't know this) there is always someone with the body 24 hours until Paul is laid to rest. My cousin who is a Martinez Police Officer was killed today during a domestic dispute. We have been crying all day - My husband who works with him is being kept at the PD, and the surrounding towns/cities have taken over the streets... It's a blessing for all of the different police agencies from all over have brought food, their condolences, flowers, etc...they are suppose to do a debreifing/counseli ng for all the officers who actually had contact with the creep.
