I have never heard of stell staples. Dora had to have a steel plate and
screws put in her leg when she broke it and they worked their way out and
were a constant source of pain for her and the site became a sore and got
infected and everything, so we ended up having to have the plate and
screws removed....she has been like a totally different dog since. But, in
her case, it was bothering her a lot.....I am not sure it is worth it if
the stitches are not bothering Toto.
