Stefanie...it's quite shocking to me also...they seem to be increasing by
the numbers!! I know there are a few puppy mills in the central valley of
california.
All small breeds - Chihuahua's mostly. I am so sick by this. The Rescue Org I
am fostering for
is so overwhelmed by pooches that director is stressed to save them all! She
will go to the high
kill shelters first and get as many as she can. It's sad...these shelters
won't give stray dogs or owner surrender dogs
ten days anymore...they would give 7 at the most. THERE IS NO ROOM!! is what
they claim.

I pray for the best - I'll keep you Chi moms and dads posted!!

BTW-anyone hear from Claudia? I have been praying for her - in hopes she is
OK!Gloria C The God of all grace will himself restore youand make you strong,

Wow! That's a lot of homeless Chis babies over there. I am on the East Coast,
near DC and it's very rare to find a Chihuahua at any local rescues. There are
waiting lists for them sometimes. It's really nice of you to take two in but
it sounds like you have your hands full with your own 8 dogs! I wish there
were more people out there like you that are willing to help. And BTW, I have
never heard of a rescue that doesn't provide the food for their fosters. But,
it seems they can't because they have too many rescue dogs as it is. Well,
good luck if you decide to foster them! You are a Chi angel!

She is cute!! Pray for me please. The Rescue who I used to foster for has
pleaded meto take 2 Chi's. There has been an urgency in Northern and Central
California. There are so, so many Chikids out there with no homes - she has 15
to 23 at this time. I am so sadden by this. We have 5 of our own and 3 big
pooches. This time I have made it clear she would have to bring their food -
she told me she doesn't normally provide the food. I asked her why do other
Rescues pay the fosters for food?? She said, right now it's out of control!!
(which didn't answer my question).MORE stuff on my plate! WWJD??Gloria C The

Here's another pic that Powder's first mom sent me. It's of her playing with
her little Chi friends. She's the white one.
