this may be, but show breeders show their bitches, right? you can not show an over six pound Chi AKC the woman I got my girls from breeds 5-6 pound females, I never asked the size of the males, but her dogs tend to run 3.5 to 5.5 pounds she breeds national champions ( and an overseas champion recently) if you are breeding for pets it doesn't really matter, except some people go for the tiny ones just please don't breed for money!
