If its not meant to be bashing, then why can't you all just let it go?
Opinions are welcomed here and often are a good source for debate but
shouldn't
be used to be judgmental.

Marsha,
It's a shame that you think your "being bashed" all of us "non breeders"
have simple questions, that want simple answers. We all have our own opinion
of
what is right and wrong. If breeding an over size dog's is not the AkC
standard why is it done? It will produce oversize dog's. You admitted that
yourself.
There are a lot of "show" breeders that have questionable reputation. One of
the Breeders from your list even mentioned they know breeders who will
finish a dog before it reach 6lbs. Just so they can say they have their
championship, but still breed them. Just how honest is that for the consumer?
The
likelihood of someone getting a puppy that will mature over the breed
standard,
then is high.
I think the whole point to this topic, for us Non breeders is understanding
why. Why breed if you don't do it to improve the standard.
I think it goes back to the breeder, some will and some won't. Would those
who do, seem unethical?

Thanks for the engaging conversation!
Amie
