Hi! It really depends on both your children and their behavior and the type of training you do with the chi and the children. I have two chi boys that are therapy dogs and I teach first grade. The dogs have a reading program at my school and they interact with my first graders all the time. However, I take a lot of time training my students to be respectful towards all living things. Our first session is al about interacting with dogs of all kinds. Good luck
