Do you have any human children? Think of her the same way you would a
toddler. We correct out of love because we love. Take a human kid that
will not accept no. Hands get burnt on hot stoves, tantrums get thrown in
stores, cars swerve to miss, ect....bottom line, they must be taught for
their own bennefit....as parents..rather of the four or two legged
variety....our first job is to be the PARENT our second job is to be a
friend. The temporary look of hurt on her face will pass....but she can
suffer long term is she is not corrected. No one will want to deal with an
out of control, biting chihuahua...yourself included once she is
grown.....better to nip it in the bed while she is young so she can grow
up to be a dog everyone can love. You are not breaking their spirits by
setting boundaries...nor will correcting inapproriate behavior cause her
to be a "zombie" dog.....
