Hi, Debbie! I'm glad you wrote back! I ws worried about you! My boy was also on prescription food. After a few years he developed diabetic cataracts. However, it NEVER slowed him down! He had them until his dying day. After everything was regulated, he acted like a pup until the day he died! Giving the shots was easy and he realized that my firt "trip" downstairs in the morning was my lunch and letting out trip. Then the second time down, he got up, went to the fridge where the meds were and waited until he got his shot! I'm embarresed to tell you that it got so easy to do that one morning I accidently put the yringe through his skin and into my hand! I had to call poison control! LOL!!! Not to worry though, they told me it happens all the time! Its really not a big deal to have a diabetic dog! Just slightly different!
