Hi everyone~~~I just wanted to ask for prayers for our neighbors
beagle...and the family. The daughter was walking their Beagle around the
neighborhood. ..on a leash....and some kids...teenagers. ...sicced? ?? not sure
of the spelling... a pit bull on the poor little Beagle. This Beagle is about
10 years old...I saw them about 10 minutes before the attack...I was in our
front yard with Sox and Dora...and she walked by with "Patches"... Patches is a
very sweet...loving dog. She gets along with everyone and everything. Thank God
some people heard the screams for help...grabbed the girl and Patches...called
her dad on his cell and rushed Patches to the vet. The pit bull had grabbed her
by the throat...even tearing her collar off! She got over 20 stitches and is on
some meds...but will completely recover! The girl started to beat the pit with
the leash and collar that it had torn off of Patches...and it released
her....I'm so glad it did...it could have been a fatal attack! As far as those
KIDS???? ...I'd rather call them something else....they needed to be taken to
the DH...and punished.... I'm so sick of this crap!!! Both Patches and the
little girl are adopted....Patches was rescued from a pound where there are a
LOT of gassings...like I said...she's a very good dog....and sure didn't
deserve this. And her owners are very good...responsible owners. Very kind
people. The little girl who was walking her is at least 13...but she's
tiny...she walks her all the time. Never any problems...then you have to have
idiots like that....and now...BECAUSE of those idiots...that pit will probably
die. And because of them...Patches is suffering..and so is her family. The
little girl and Patches are pretty close...they spend a lot of time
together...AND. ..Patches even goes to work with the father sometimes and the
wife stops after her work day is over and picks her up...they all love the dog
very much. The little girl came from a bad situation... her mom was on drugs
and stuff...so the people adopted her...(from a family member)...their only
child...and got her a Beagle because that's the kind of dog she wanted. She
loves all animals though....and she's very good with them. She comes here to
visit the animals...we' re pretty friendly with them too. Anyway...I'm so glad
poor little Patches will be ok...I was so upset....OH. .the little girl is fine
